We found this guy in a net on Koh Sii. The fishing boats come here illegally during the night, and if they get a net snagged this is what can happen. This is a disaster in terms of wildlife protection. The Hawkesbill Turtle is listed as a critically endangered species and is protected throughout the world. The diver who took this photo kindly left it with me and I have tried to get it seen as much as possible, including posters, blogs, book photos and web postings.
